Collect water samples from at least 3 different sources (tap water, bottled water, well/river water). Perform hardness, alkalinity, and acidity determination for each sample. Compare results with BIS standards (IS 10500) and prepare a comprehensive report with graphs and conclusions.

Write a detailed report on the quality parameters of coal (proximate analysis) and petroleum products (flash point, fire point). Include: (a) Classification of coal types with their proximate analysis ranges, (b) Safety standards for petroleum product storage based on flash point, (c) Environmental impact of high-ash coal combustion.

Prepare and deliver a 10–15 minute PowerPoint presentation on bio-based alternatives to traditional formaldehyde resins. Cover: (a) Environmental and health concerns of formaldehyde emissions, (b) Bio-based adhesives (soy protein, lignin, tannin), (c) Comparative properties, (d) Industrial adoption challenges.

Each lab experiment requires a handwritten lab report to be submitted within one week of the lab session. Reports must include: Aim, Apparatus & Chemicals, Principle, Procedure (brief), Observations, Calculations, Result, and Viva answers (2 minimum).
